drjeffrock Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Anybody heard of this or use it? I use one of those regular rake-type brushes for Kira when she is shedding. A couple people on other boards highly recommend these. Any input dogomaniacs? It sure doesnt look cheap. drjeffrock Posted March 21, 2005 Author Posted March 21, 2005 Ok, here is a close up pic... Doesnt it look like the teeth are waaay too close together? Geez, it almost looks like it just tears the fur to thin it out as opposed to just getting down to the undercoat. Kinda like those shedding blades, which are more trouble than they are worth imo. imported_Debbie Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 I've had the Furminator done to my Lab/Rott Gretchen and I have to say she never looked lovelier and as shiny as when she got that done. It also does cut down on the shedding. Quote
ObedienceGrrl Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 OOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...... It looks nice.... but soooo expensive. I don't think Jeremy would let me spend $60.00 on a dog brush. Quote

Crystal Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005
I love my Furminator!!! With four newfs just entering shedding season, it is a godsend. For me, it was well worth the money.
I bet you would die without it. I can imagine all the fur you see. Have you ever thought of making newfie sweaters from all that fur. I've seen people that take dog fur and spin it into yarn and from there create all kinds of things. You would have an endless supply I suppose! Quote
imported_Debbie Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Just want to add....I don't own the brush, I had it done at my Groomer's shop.......I think she charged $10 extra for the Furminator treatment. So instead of $30 it was $40. Quote
JackieMaya Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Wow! That's what I need! Can you get them at Petsmart/Petco? Or do you have to order them online? Quote
